Throughout May, the Times Square Tasti D-Lite (1588 Broadway) is featuring an exclusive TRACES flavor, "Alive with Traces," every Sunday in May. The cast recently stopped by to check out the special flavor, and you can check out photos of them in action below!
TRACES, by the Montreal-based troupe 7 Fingers, is now playing at New York's Union Square Theatre (100 East 17thStreet). The show began previews on July 29th and after opening to rave reviews on August 8th, transitioned to an open-ended run. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com (800-982-2787).
In TRACES, the human body is pushed to its limits as a group of friends leave their mark in a run-down warehouse through acrobatics, music, and dance. Fusing the traditions of circus with the energy of street performance, TRACES is an explosive display of raw emotion and physicality set to the music of Radiohead, VAST, Blackalicious, and more.
TRACES features Creative Direction by 7 Fingers (Les 7 Doigts de la Main) and Direction & Choreography by Shana Carroll & Gypsy Snider. TRACES is performed by Mason Ames, Valérie Benôit-Charbonneau, Mathieu Cloutier, Bradley Henderson, Phillipe Normand-Jenny, Xia Zhengqi, and Florian Zumkehr with alternate cast members Héloïse Bourgeois, Sen Lin, and William Underwood.
Les 7 Doigts de la Main were recently honored by the Counseil des Arts et des Lettres du Quebec and awarded the Prize for the Best Canadian and US Tour for TRACES.
TRACES is produced by Fox Theatricals (Kristin Caskey & Mike Isaacson), Tom Gabbard, Amanda Dubois, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Nassib El-Husseini, and Thomas Lightburn.
