Photo Flash: Summerstage at Leonia Presents ANNIE, Now thru 7/29

Summerstage at Leonia presents Annie: The Musical the last two weekends in July. The production, the thirteenth for Summerstage, is held at the Leonia High School Little Theater, and features a cast of 50 from 21 towns in northern New Jersey. The role of Annie is played by Raquel Leifer of Englewood. Check out photos from the production below!The role of Sandy in our production is being played by Macy, one of Mr. Berloni's "veteran" Sandy canine actors. Also, Mr. Berloni is utilizing our theatre to further Sunny's training, getting her ready for her Broadway debut as Sandy in the 35th anniversary revival of "Annie." Both dogs are provided by Theatrical Animals Inc., an award-winning firm that has rescued over 200 dogs from shelters and trained them for roles in movies and theaters. The owner of Theatrical Animals Inc, William Berloni, has been featured on the Today Show and is the author of Broadway Tails, a book about the dogs he has rescued and trained. Copies of the book will be available for sale after each Summerstage performance.Annie runs now through July 22 and July 26-29. Thursday through Saturday performances are at 8 p.m.. Sunday matinees are at 3. Tickets are $28, $20 and $15. For tickets, call 201-944-4300 or Pacicco Jewelers or Soloist Music on Broad Avenue in Leonia. Proceeds go for art programs in local schools.
