On Thursday, November 8th,
Sam Champion,
Lara Spencer and
Josh Elliot hosted the Bullet-Fly Effect Art Show by Rubem Robierb at the Emmanuel Fremin Gallery in Chelsea, New York. Guests also included
Michael Strahan, David Tutera,
Thomas Roberts, James Goldston,
Tom Cibrowski, Barbara Fedida and many others. Check out photos from the opening below!
Robierb’s Bullet-Fly Effect Series presents a sharp criticism towards war and transformation. An innocent and beautiful butterfly carries a powerful weapon as a metaphor for the violence in the world. At the same time, the series alludes to the “butterfly effect” in the Chaos Theory where the flapping of a butterfly’s wings in New York can create a tsunami in Japan, a metaphor for the interconnectedness of all things.
The exhibit also features other works by Robierb including the “Show me the money” series and additional pieces, and will run through November 10th.
