Photo Flash: Meet the Cast of Barrow Street Theatre's TRIBES

By:

The cast of Barrow Street Theatre's highly anticipated North American Premiere of Nina Raine's Tribes, met the press yesterday, February 6. Check out photos from tthe event below!

In Tribes, Billy (Russell Harvard) was born deaf into a hearing family, and raised inside the fiercely idiosyncratic and unrepentantly politically incorrect cocoon of his parents' house. He has adapted brilliantly to his family's unconventional ways, but they've never bothered to return the favor. It's not until he meets Sylvia, a young woman on the brink of deafness, that he finally understands what it means to be understood. The play begins previews at the Barrow Street Theatre on February 16 and opens on Sunday, March 4, 2012.

TRIBES features Obie Award-winning director David Cromer (Our Town), Tony Award-winning set designer Scott Pask (Book of Mormon), and the cast of Tribes: Will Brill (Our Town), Russell Harvard (There Will Be Blood), Jeff Perry (August: Osage County), Susan Pourfar (When the Rain Stops Falling), Gayle Rankin (The Illusion), and Academy Award® nominee and Emmy Award®-winner Mare Winningham (Georgia).
