Photo Flash: First Look at Rubicon Theatre's FOOD CONFESSIONS, Opening Jan 30

By:
Rubicon Theatre of Ventura continues the company's 15th Anniversary Season, and the theatre's community initiative titled "Our Town/Your Theatre," with Food Confessions, a hilarious new comedy from the pen of Nancy Nufer. Coming off three performances at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara in September of last year, Food Confessions will enjoy its first full-length run at Rubicon beginning January 30 and continuing through February 24, 2013. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast onstage in the photos below!

Food Confessions is a saucy comedy that interweaves stories about our own appetite and the appetites of the people we love, bringing to the table a unique way of looking at life, love, why we're hungry, and what we're really hungry for.

Continuing the company's Our Town/Your Theatre initiative, this production of Food Confessions highlights several artists familiar to Rubicon audiences - creator Nancy Nufer who appears onstage with other local professionals: Sara Bashor, Dan Gunther, Robert Lesser and Devin Scott. L.A. based actress Kara Revel also joins the cast. Rubicon Artistic Associate Jenny Sullivan takes the helm as director and Rod Lathim of Santa Barbara serves as associate producer.

Food Confessions begins previews on January 30, with the official opening on Saturday, February 2. Performances continue Wednesdays through Sundays, through closing on February 24, 2013 at Rubicon Theatre Company, 1006 E. Main Street in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District. For tickets, call (805) 667-2900 or go to www.rubicontheatre.org.
