Winner of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award for Best Play, August: Osage County is one of the most bracing and critically acclaimed plays in recent Broadway history. August: Osage County is a portrait of a dysfunctional American family at its finest—and absolute worst. When the patriarch of the Weston clan disappears one hot summer night, the family reunites at the Oklahoma homestead, where long-held secrets are unflinchingly and uproariously revealed. This gritty modern masterpiece will keep you on The Edge of your seat. This production includes strong language and adult situations and is intended only for mature audiences.

Directed by Amy Lane, the production features Violet Weston, Beverly Weston, Barbara Fordham, Bill Fordham, Jean Fordham, Ivy Weston, Karen Weston, Charlie Aiken, Mattie Fae Aiken Little, Charles Aiken, Johanna Monevata, Steve Heidebrecht, Sheriff Deon Gilbeau, Susan Baer Collins, Bill Hutson, Moira Mangiameli, Jim McKain, Olivia Sather, Erika Hall, Laura Leininger, Randy Vest, Kim Jubenville, Colt Neidhardt, Rachel Kirwan, Rob Baker and Brennan Thomas.

Playing through Sept. 16, 2012, the show runs Thursday–Saturday, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 2 p.m. at the Omaha Community Playhouse, Howard Drew Theatre, 6915 Cass Street, Omaha, NE.
