Photo Flash: First Look at Disney's ALADDIN at Tuacahn

Take a magical carpet ride to the Southern Utah desert when Tuacahn becomes an Arabian oasis in this new stage adaptation of the beloved Disney film. Filled with delightful songs, enchanting characters, and hilarious comedy, Aladdin features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman, book by Chad Beguelin and additional lyrics by Chad Beguelin and Alan Menken.

Tuacahn's production is directed by Scott S. Anderson and choreographed by Deanna Dys. The show runs now through August 31 and September 3-October 19, 2012 at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre in Ivins, Utah. Get a first look at the production in the photos below!

This Broadway-style stage production features all of the classic songs from the film, including “Friend Like Me,” “A Whole New World,” “One Jump Ahead,” “Prince Ali,” and more. The show also includes additional songs originally written for the film by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman but which did not make the final cut.

Released in 1992, the animated film Aladdin received critical acclaim and captivated audiences around the world. Adapted from the classic Middle Eastern and Asian folktales in One Thousand and One Nights, Aladdin tells the story of a quick-witted young street dweller who uses the magic wishes from an omnipotent Genie to pursue the hand of a beautiful princess.
