Photo Flash: Dicapo Children's Chorus Perform Sold-Out Shows at Dicapo Opera Theatre

The Dicapo Children's Chorus Carrolle Singe performed December 18th & 19th at The Dicapo Opera Theatre. The concert, directed by Diane Martindale, included traditional Christmas favorites as well as folk and contemporary holiday songs.

The Dicapo Children's Chorus offers children the opportunity to perform in a Carrolle Singe and a fully staged musical each season. Under the supervision of Director, Diane Martindale, the children are exposed to a rich and varied musical curriculum as well as a professional theatre environment.

In addition to the concerts and musical revues, Dicapo Children Chorus members often take part in mainstage Dicapo Opera Theatre productions where they work with professional directors, opera singers, actors and musicians. Since Ms. Martindale founded the Dicapo Children's Chorus in 1982, the chorus has performed at Lincoln Center, as guest artists at Alice Tully Hall with "The Little Orchestra Society," Merkin Hall, the Rose Theater at Lincoln Center, the Rheinman Theater at New York University, the Long Island Opera, the Long Island Children's Orchestra and the National Grand Opera Company. In addition, they have traveled to Europe to participate in music festivals and have sung at the Rathaus Palace in Vienna.
