Chicago Dramatists' Fireside Chat with Visiting Artist Arthur Kopit was a sold-out event on February 20th. Before an audience of Chicago Dramatists Resident and Network Playwrights and theatre patrons, the Tony nominated Playwright discussed his career and his work, from his first one-act play as a student at Harvard to his successes on Broadway. An engaging speaker, Mr. Kopit shared his views on new play development and commended Chicago Dramatists for its long-time leadership in the field.
On Sunday, Mr. Kopit taught his acclaimed master class as part of Chicago Dramatists' Visiting Artist Program. Other featured guests have been Paula Vogel, Sarah Ruhl, Susan B. Smith, and Jeff Daniels.
