Photo Flash: Cast of Broadway's MAMMA MIA! Teams Up with Sing For Your Seniors

On Monday, February 11th, members of the Broadway company of Mamma Mia! teamed up with Sing For Your Seniors to bring an extra-special performance to the patients of Calvary Cancer Hospital in the Bronx. The event was part of Sing For Your Seniors' new "Broadway Sessions" program, which brings members of a current Broadway cast to perform at one of its centers. The musical performance, hosted by Sing For Your Seniors' Executive Director Jackie Vanderbeck, included songs of the performers' choosing, as well as songs from Mamma Mia! Performers included Aaron Lazar (Mamma Mia!, A Little Night Music, The Light in the Piazza), Daniel Cooney (Mamma Mia!, Bonnie and Clyde, 9 to 5), Zak Resnick (Mamma Mia!, Disaster, Lucky Guy), Jennifer Noth (Mamma Mia!, And The World Goes 'Round, Jekyll & Hyde), Lauren Cohn (Mamma Mia!, Glimpses of the Moon, The Drowsy Chaperone), Felicity Claire (Mamma Mia!), with Mamma Mia! Musical Director Wendy Bobbitt Cavett accompanying them on the piano. Patients and their families, nurses, doctors and staff enjoyed a one-hour session, with a 'meet and greet' visit after the performance.

Sing For Your Seniors is a non-profit organization that uses music to changes lives. We provide senior citizens with immediate and long-term benefits through musical enrichment in adult day centers, in hospitals and in living centers. Our seniors build ongoing relationships with talented young Broadway and Broadway-bound performers as they connect through music.
