Photo Flash: Cast from Broadway's EVITA Joins Forces with Sing For Your Seniors

On Tuesday, January 22nd, members of the Broadway company of Evita joined forces with Sing For Your Seniors to bring a very special performance to the seniors at Village Adult Day Health Center. The musical performance, hosted by Sing For Your Seniors' Executive Director Jackie Vanderbeck, included songs of the performers' choosing as well of songs from Evita. Performers included Daniel Torres (EVITA, Altar Boyz, The Woman in White, The Pirate Queen), Melanie Field (EVITA, Phantom of the Opera), Laurel Harris (Wicked, Evita) Jason Lee Garret (Big Fish, Evita) and Emily Mechler (EVITA), Johnny Stallard (EVITA) and Kristen Lee Rosenfeld (Spring Awakening MD 1st natl tour) on piano. Seniors, nurses and administrative staff enjoyed a one-hour session with a 'meet and greet' visit after the performance.

Sing For Your Seniors, Inc. is a non-profit organization that uses music to change lives. We provide senior citizens with immediate and long-term benefits through musical enrichment in adult day centers, in hospitals and in living centers. Our seniors build ongoing relationships with talented young Broadway and Broadway-bound performers as they connect through music.
