the State Capitol for her numerous contributions in promoting arts education in
California,
and received proclamations of excellence from the California Legislature, one by
California State Governor Schwarzenegger personally.

From the CA State Senate: California Senate Resolution
(presented by Senator Jack Scott)
From Chancellor Charles Reed of Cal State Universities:
Certificate of Appreciation
From Governor Schwarzenegger: Certificate of Recognition
"Channing, a
world-renowned and widely recognized stage theater and musical artist, has
played a personal and active role in campaigning for the expansion and funding of
arts education in California,"
state press notes, "In 2005, Channing began a tour of the 23 CSU campuses to perform
and share her experience as one of Broadway's enduring stars. The previous
year, she was awarded an honorary doctoral degree from CSU Stanislaus, the
third in the campus' 45-year history. Channing continues to expand her
commitment to California
art students with the establishment of scholarships through her Dr. Carol Channing-Harry Kullijian Foundation for the Arts, and still frequently visits
university and K-12 campuses throughout the state."
