Come on down to Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre, where the sultry Broadway hit Chicago heats up the stage through Oct. 7. Get a first look at the production in the photos below!

Crime creates celebrities in this red hot musical set during the Roaring Twenties in Chicago. Deb Wims stars as Roxie Hart, who murders her lover and tries to pin it on her hapless husband, Amos, played by Eddie Curry. When Amos finds out he’s been duped and Roxie is arrested, she hires slick lawyer Billy Flynn, played by Curt Dale Clark, to escape a death sentence. While in jail, Roxie encounters former Vaudeville star Velma Kelly, played by Marisa Rivera, who is not happy to have competition for the best lawyer in town—and the top headlines.

This sexy satire showcases the unparalleled dancing style of Bob Fosse performed to show-stopping songs like “Razzle Dazzle” and “All That Jazz.” The longest-running American Broadway musical of all time, Chicago has won six Tony Awards plus a Grammy, a Golden Globe, and six Academy Awards for the 2002 film that starred Renée Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Queen Latifah and Richard Gere.

Directed by Marc Robin, who worked with Fosse himself, and choreographed by Pittsboro native Buddy Reeder, Chicago is on stage in the intimate space of Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre for 44 performances scheduled through Oct. 7.
