In celebration of the Royal Wedding, and all things British, English chocolatier Charbonnel et Walker has teamed up with another British export, Billy Elliott the musical to create a delicious and unique dessert; Billy Elliott's Butterscotch Bread & Butter Pudding, to be sold exclusively and for a limited time at the Charbonnel et Walker Chocolate Café, Saks Fifth Avenue, New York. This new dessert is a modern take on Bread & Butter Pudding, the traditional English family favourite. This updated version is infused with deliciously warm butterscotch and lightly drizzled with a peanut butter sauce, and served with a Charbonnel milk chocolate ballet shoe on the side.
Billy Elliot the musical tells the heart-warming tale of a young boy growing up in a small English town, and what better way to celebrate this incredible musical production than with an enticing and unique dessert from traditional English chocolatier Charbonnel et Walker, who also hold the Royal Warrant as chocolate manufacturers to Her Majesty the Queen.
Attendees to the official dessert unveiling will also experience a preview of Charbonnel et Walker's private collection of original royal photography, on display for the first time in the USA, in celebration of the royal wedding on April 29th. Consisting of 16 photographs taken by royal photographer Lisa Sheridan, the exhibition features King George VI, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Queen Elizabeth II as a Princess and Queen, Princess Margaret, Prince Charles and Princess Anne. The family is shown in a variety of candid moments such as painting in the schoolroom, at play with the royal dogs, learning to use a camera and gardening.
