By: BWW News Desk
Recently, some of the young dancers from the National Tour of Billy Elliot THE MUSICAL had the opportunity to work with Stage Door Designs and Alabama Dance Academy, who hosted the event which included local dancers from their studio. Check out the photos below!
The event was hosted by Alabama Dance Academy (owned by Pamela Merkel and Carter Sayle) along with Stage Door Designs (owned by Carter Sayle and Ellen Sauchelli). Stage Door Designs is a website development company that specializes in sites for the acting community. Pamela, Carter and Ellen have all experienced touring with their own children. "We know how hard it can be to continue dance training and how meeting new faces can enhance the tour experience - so we joined forces to make it happen" said Ellen Sauchelli of Stage Door Designs. Sam Poon, one of the actors playing Michael on the tour said, "the class was really fun and the tap combo was awesome! I loved the opportunity to dance with kids from Alabama Dance Academy".
