Winner of the 2011 Capezio A.C.E. Award for Choreographic Excellence, Al Blackstone has created what he calls a dance narrative, a full-length work of dance theatre that uses the body and music alone to tell a complete story. There is no dialogue in the 90-minute piece, but plenty of communication. The choreography is technically demanding but always story driven and character based. The styles range from classic theatre dance to street jazz to contemporary as the characters each pursue their own version of happiness.
In order to tell this story a group of some of the most elite, unique and compelling performers in New York City has been assembled. The dynamic cast includes
