Photo Coverage: Visionary Media For Blind Composers Opens Its Doors

Last night, December 8, Doug Maxwell and wife Liz Caplan, one of Broadway's most in-demand vocal coaches, hosted the official opening of Maxwell's Not for profit company, Visionary Media. Maxwell started his company in order to help retain employment for blind musicians and performers, studio engineers, and actors.

Maxwell himself is a legally blind musician, and created the non-profit with the intention of creating something he wished he had available to him throughout his career.

One of the company's biggest supporters was fashion bigwig Evan Mitman, who has a room, the Evan Mitman Center, dedicated to him in the space.
