Kristin Chenoweth blew the roof off Massey Hall on Tuesday night, in a special one-night-only concert that Toronto audiences had been anticipating for a long time. The event featured songs from many different genres, as well as little anecdotes from her life. She embraced Canadian culture with references to Tim Hortons, Holt Renfrew and more, and BWW is thrilled to bring its readers photos from the show.

The diminutive star with a big Broadway voice was scheduled to come to Toronto in 2009 for a Holt Renfrew window unveiling but had to cancel and hasn’t been back since. Tickets went quickly for the event, where Kristin treated the audience to a diverse mix of music from her days on Broadway, her country and Christian material and other classics.

Kristin knows how to entertain an audience, and Toronto embraced her wholeheartedly.  She was greeted with a standing ovation that was overwhelmingly positive, and the electric buzz continued in the air for the whole night. The audience particularly loved any and all references to all things "Canadian"—such as her excited reference to the dress she bought at Holt Renfrew or her shamelessly drinking out of a Tim Hortons cup on stage.

She was joined by an eleven piece orchestra, three back-up singers and dancers (Tyler Hanes, Chelsea Packard and Will Taylor) and even some puppets from Avenue Q, the night was a delightful treat for fans of Kristin from stage, screen and television.
