Just yesterday, Forever Tango's Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy cozied up in the kitchen of Sprinkles Cupcakes to celebrate the Broadway return of the dance phenomenon, Forever Tango with the unveiling of a specially designed cupcake. Sprinkles' delicious Forever Tango cupcake features strawberry cake and lemon frosting. BroadwayWorld was there for the unveiling and you can check out photos below!
Created and directed by Luis Bravo, Forever Tango has touched the souls of millions worldwide since its inception in San Francisco in 1994, where it thrilled audiences for nearly two years. Called "A must-see" by the New York Times, Forever Tango originally opened on Broadway in 1997 where it played the Walter Kerr and Marquis Theatres for fourteen months and earned multiple Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations. Celebrated by critics and audiences alike, the international sensation returned to Broadway's Shubert Theater for a limited four month engagement in 2004.
Started in Beverly Hills in 2005, Sprinkles' sophisticated take on the classic American cupcake made them an overnight bakery sensation. Made from the best ingredients and baked fresh throughout the day, Sprinkles cupcakes inspire long lines of devoted fans as well as accolades from the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Blake Lively, Katie Holmes, Ryan Seacrest and Barbra Streisand.
