Photo Coverage: Gypsy Robe Ceremony for The Wedding Singer

T. Oliver Reid, of The Wedding Singer was chosen as the latest winner of the Gypsy Robe. A ceremony was held before the show's opening night on April 27, 2006 and BroadwayWorld was there!

The colorful Gypsy Robe, embellished with mementos from Broadway musicals, is presented to the cast member who has the most Broadway chorus credits. T. Oliver Reid's credits include: La Cage aux Folles, Never Gonna Dance, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Follies and Kiss Me, Kate.

The Wedding Singer is based on the 1998 film, which starred Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. The show features music by Matthew Sklar, with lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and a book by Tim Herlihy and Chad Beguelin.
