Photo Coverage: City Meals-on-Wheels Power Lunch for Women

The 22^nd Annual City Meals-on-Wheels Power Lunch for Women took place at the Rainbow Room on Friday, November 21, 2008.

This year Martha Stewart was honored for her dedicated work in the field of gerontology, and Lynda Resnick, Co-Chair of Roll International, for her leadership in corporate philanthropy. 

Past honorees have included fashion and beauty's brightest (Diane Von Furstenberg, Bobbi Brown) and business icons (Sallie Krawcheck, Lillian Vernon), as well as the founding forces behind the lunch, icons of their respective fields (Barbara Walters, Liz Smith, Beverly Sills, Jessye Norman, Gloria Steinem). 

Last year alone, the event raised over $1.15 million - enough to provide nearly 200,000 nutritious meals to New York City's homebound elderly.
