The Junior Board of Rosie's Theater Kids presented A Night at the Vault Benefit Gala at The Vault at Pfaff's on last night, June 21. Honorary Hosts include Project Runway's Christina Siriano, Leslie Ziff and Nyasha Zimucha. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the event and brings you photo coverage below!
Proceeds from the benefit support the Junior Board's effort to sponsor a classroom in RTKids' PS Broadway program, where every fifth grader in a low-income NYC elementary school receives 15 weeks of performing arts instruction and a field trip to see a Broadway show.
Among the prizes to be raffled off was a 7-day cruise for two aboard the Norwegian Pearl.
Rosie's Theater Kids was inspired by Rosie O'Donnell's life-long concern for children, love of theater, and dream of teaching. In 2003, thanks to the generosity of Rosie and Kelli O'Donnell, Artistic and Executive Director Lori Klinger created RTKids, dedicated to providing quality instruction in music and dance at no cost to New York City public schools or students.
Eighty percent of students who participate in Rosie's Theater Kids are from low-income families. Rosie's Theater Kids serves more than 5,100 teachers, students, and their family members at 22 schools.
