Photo Coverage: Chicago Anniversary Gala Dress Rehearsal

After a stunning dress rehearsal, the revival of Chicago celebrated its 10th year on Broadway in a star-studded gala event on Tuesday, November 14th at the Ambassador Theatre.

The original stars of the revival, />/>/>/>/>Ann Reinking/>, />/>/>/>/>Bebe Neuwirth/>, />/>/>/>/>James Naughton/>, />/>/>/>/>Joel Grey/>, Marcia Lewis and D. Sabella joined over 30 star alumni, including />/>/>/>/>Brooke Shields/>, />/>/>/>/>Chita Rivera/>, />/>/>/>/>Melanie Griffith/>, John O'Hurley, />/>/>/>/>Kevin Richardson/>, and />/>/>/>/>AshLee Simpson/>, in a special one-night-only performance of the show. The evening benefited Safe Horizon, which provides support, prevents violence and promotes justice for victims of crimes and abuse, their families and communities.

Chicago, which opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on November 14th, 1996, has reached a run of 4,163 performances at the Ambassador Theatre (215 W. 49th St.). Chicago, which concerns the rise and rivalry of two murderous chorines, received 6 1997 Tonys (including Best Revival of a Musical) under the direction of />/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>Walter Bobbie/> and the choreography of star />/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>Ann Reinking/>. The revival, based on Bobbie's stylistically stripped-down Encores! staging, featured direction and choreography by />/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>Bob Fosse/> in its original 1975 production. Chicago features a score by />/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>John Kander/> and />/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>Fred Ebb/>, and a book by Ebb and />/>/>/>/>/>/>/>/>Bob Fosse/>.  Barry and />Fran Weissler/> are the show's producers.

As a 14 year old youth, Walter was transfixed by his first Broadway Show, the original production of 'GREASE'. His Journey to celebrity photojournalism began that fateful night. Meeting, photographing and getting to know the cast inspired him to spend his professional life doing what he loved. Walter moved to Manhattan and for a leading role as a Photographer & Photo Researcher. Currently headlining in New Jersey with his partner Richard and family members Dali (Jack Russell) & Gala (Schnoodle). Recently he made his Broadway debut sharing the stage with Hugh Jackman in 'Hugh Jackman on Broadway' as well as receiving the Actors' Equity Association Gypsy Spirit Award.
