Photo Coverage: Brown & Lee Reveal Sardi's Caricatures

Tony Award-nominees Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins) and Gavin Lee (Bert), currently starring in Disney's Mary Poppins, revealed their very own Sardi's portraits at the world-famous Sardi's Restaurant. Brown and Lee joined the ranks of Broadway royalty who have been honored with a caricature on the walls of Sardi's.

Mary Poppins, the most popular new musical to open in the 2006-07 season, is a co-production by Disney and Cameron Mackintosh and opened at the New Amsterdam Theatre on November 16, 2006. Based on P.L. Travers's cherished stories and the classic 1964 Walt Disney film, the show features the Academy Award-winning music and lyrics of Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman. The stage production has been created, in collaboration with Cameron Mackintosh, by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Julian Fellowes, who has written the book, and the Olivier Award-winning team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, who have composed new songs and additional music and lyrics. Mary Poppins features such beloved songs as "Chim Chim Cher-ee," "Step In Time," "Spoonful of Sugar," "Feed The Birds," "Let?s Go Fly A Kite," and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" along with new songs such as "Practically Perfect" and "Anything Can Happen."
