Photo Coverage: Blythe Danner Returns To Broadway in NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT

Emmy and Tony Award winner Blythe Danner has joined the cast of Nice Work If You Can Get It for 12 weeks only beginning today, December 18th and continuing through March 10th. Ms. Danner assumes the role of Millicent Winter, the mother of Matthew Broderick's character Jimmy Winter. The role was originated on Broadway by Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons, who played her final performance on Sunday, December 16. Check out photos of Danner in action below!

NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, featuring music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a book by two-time Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro, stars two-time Tony Award-winner Matthew Broderick and four-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara. The production is directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshalland is now playing at Broadway's Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). Tickets are currently on sale through June 2, 2013.

This new musical features a veritable hit parade of iconic George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin songs, and some unknown gems in their catalog, including "Someone to Watch Over Me," "I've Got to Be There," "Sweet & Lowdown," "'S Wonderful," "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off," Fascinating Rhythm," "But Not for Me," "Blah, Blah, Blah" and many more. It's the roaring twenties, and a cast of outrageous characters gather in New York to celebrate the wedding of a wealthy playboy (Broderick). But things don't go as planned when the playboy meets a bubbly and feisty bootlegger (O'Hara) who melts his heart.

NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT earned 2012 Tony Awards for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical (Michael McGrath) and Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical (Judy Kaye); 2012 Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical (Judy Kaye), Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical (Michael McGrath) and Outstanding Book of a Musical (Joe DiPietro); and 2012 Outer Critics Circle Awards for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical (Judy Kaye) and Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical (Michael McGrath).

As a 14 year old youth, Walter was transfixed by his first Broadway Show, the original production of 'GREASE'. His Journey to celebrity photojournalism began that fateful night. Meeting, photographing and getting to know the cast inspired him to spend his professional life doing what he loved.
