"Arielle Jacobs: Back to Free" just played last night, June 30, at Stage 72: The Triad. In her debut solo cabaret, Arielle Jacobs, star of Broadway's IN THE HEIGHTS and Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, went on a personal journey into the exploration of Freedom; wanting it, fighting it, and questioning what it is - through the music of inspiring female artists such as Sara Bareilles, Joni Mitchell, Linda Rondstadt, Ella Fitzgerald, Melissa Etheridge, India Arie and more. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from inside the concert below!
At the helm are Musical Director Cian McCarthy (Music Director of Broadway's BOOK OF MORMON), Associate Director & Script Consultant Jenny Leon, and Director Saheem Ali; featuring additional guest artists: J.J. Caruncho (saxophone), Michael Jahlil (vocals), Britany Coleman (vocals), Jonny Morrow (bass), Loraine Faina (drums), and Kyle LaLone (guitar).
If you're in the LA area, you can see the show on Friday, July 11th at Rockwell Table & Stage! Tickets are available now at: http://rockwell-la.inticketing.com/events/ariellejacobs/. Find Jacobs on the web at www.ariellejacobs.com.
