Photo Blast From The Past: Angela Lansbury & Lillian Gish

Welcome to BroadwayWorld.com's newest photo series 'Photo Blast From the Past'. Featuring some of the collected theatre gem's of BroadwayWorld's own senior photographer Walter McBride, the series will feature images from his archives of theatre and Hollywood related gems.

Today we bring you a look at vintage Angela Lansbury and Lillian Gish, who have dozens of Broadway credits between them.  Angela Lansbury made her Broadway debut in Hotel Paradiso in 1957 and is currently starring on Broadway in Gore Vidal's The Best Man. The late Lillian Gish, who passed away in 1993, made her Broadway debut in A Good Little Devil in 1913 and took her last Broadway bow in the 1975 musical revue, A Musical Jubilee.

Walter McBrideAs a 14 year old youth, Walter was transfixed by his first Broadway Show, the original production of 'GREASE'. His Journey to celebrity photojournalism began that fateful night. Meeting, photographing and getting to know the cast inspired him to spend his professional life doing what he loved. Walter moved to Manhattan and for a leading role as a Photographer & Photo Researcher. Currently headlining in New Jersey with his partner Richard and family members Dali (Jack Russell) & Gala (Schnoodle). Recently he made his Broadway debut sharing the stage with Hugh Jackman in 'Hugh Jackman on Broadway' as well as receiving the Actors' Equity Association Gypsy Spirit Award.
