Philadelphia Theatre Company Regains Home After Foreclosure

As reported in The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Philadelphia Theatre Company will be moving back to its Suzanne Roberts Theatre after losing it to bank foreclosure.

$3 million in donations plus a $2 million loan has allowed the company to meet the $5 million purchase price.

The PTC has produced four world premieres byTerrence McNally, who expressed concern last year when the company was first evicted: "It's so important that it does not go under, that the good people of Philadelphia make sure it doesn't. It's too damn important."

The new season will begin October 9th with Ayad Akhtar's Pulitzer-winning DISGRACED.
