Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps, written by Patrick Barlow, will play at Juneau's Perseverance Theater from September 23 through October 16, 2011.

The chase is on! Alfred Hitchcock's classic 1930s film comes to the stage as characters are pursued by a pair of clowns portraying cops, spies, and various Scottish innkeepers. Originally conceived for two clowns to perform the entire cast of the film, a four actor version later played on Broadway in New York and the West End in London. Next fall, this theatrical version of the classic screenplay comes to Alaska to open Perseverance's 2011-2012 season. Romance, intrigue, great theatrical trickery, and plenty of references to Hitchcock's remarkable cinematic styles add up to a great night at the theatre.

Bostin Chrisopher will direct. The artistic team features Sheila Wyne (Set Design), Art Rotch (Lighting Design), Valerie Snyder (Costume Design), Riley Woodford (Composer/Sound Design), and Nikki Dawson (Production Stage Manager). The cast stars Roblin GRay Davis, Jed Hancock-Brainerd, Rebecca Noon and Aram Aghazarian.
