Patti Murin, Lorna Luft, Eric Anderson & More to Lead ROOM 16 Reading, 3/8

On March 8th at 2 p.m. there will be a reading of ROOM 16 by Stephen Sislen (composer/lyricist), Andrea Lepcio (book) and Ben H. Winters (lyrics), directed by Kim Weild with music direction by Vadim Feichtner.

ROOM 16 is described as "a wry, dark, comedic look inside the unlikely friendship between G. Gordon Liddy and E. Howard Hunt," played by Eric Anderson (SOUTH PACIFIC, SOUL DOCTOR) and Stephen Bogardus (JAMES JOYCE'S THE DEAD, FALSETTOS) respectively.

The cast also includes Philip Hoffman as John Mitchell, Lorna Luft as Dorothy Hunt, Patti Murin as secretary Sally Harmony; Katrina Lynn Olson serves as production stage manager.

ROOM 16 was part of the Goodspeed Festival of New Artists and Broadway Close Up: Bound for Broadway XI hosted by Liz Callaway in 2011. The musical has also benefited from ASCAP/ Disney Musical Theatre Workshop, BMI Master Class with Hal Prince, Musical Mondays Theatre Lab in 2008 and was developed at the Dramatists Guild Fellowship in 2008-09.

Lepcio's Looking for the Pony was a finalist for the Dramatists Guild Hull-Warriner Award and the NEA Outstanding New American Play Award. Sislen wrote the music and additional lyrics for Slut, which enjoyed an Off-Broadway run (James Hammerstein Productions) after premiering at the New York International Fringe Festival. Weild was a 2010 Drama Desk nominee for Fêtes de la Nuit (Unique Theatrical Experience). Off Broadway: An Error of the Moon, Allen Ginsberg’s Kaddish (or the Key in the Window), Safe Home, Paradise Now and A Decade of Dreams: Celebrating the Music of the Young People’s Chorus of New York (Carnegie Hall).
