Boston Opera House Patrons Invited to Donate Old Cell Phones at SOUTH PACIFIC, 9/27-10/2
Broadway In Boston and "Cell Phones For Soldiers" invite patrons attending performances of Rodgers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC at the Boston Opera House September 27 - October 2 to help support our troops by donating their used cell phones. For every donated cell phone, a 60-minute phone card will be provided to a military member stationed overseas so they can call home for free.
Donations may be dropped off in one of the designated recycling bins in the lobby if the Boston Opera House. To a member of the military, a phone call home is priceless. That's why "Cell Phones For Soldiers" organized this program that enables our military forces to call home and hear a familiar voice while far away. To learn more about the organization or to request a calling card please visit www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com.
Rodgers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC is based on the 2008 Tony Award® winning Lincoln Center Theater production, directed by Bartlett Sher. Based on James Michener's Pulitzer Prize winning book Tales of the South Pacific, Rodgers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC has music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Oscar Hammerstein II and Joshua Logan.
