PRODUCERS, DRIVING MISS DAISY et al. Set for Newnan Community Theatre Company Season

By:

On August 24, David Dorrell and Paul Conroy announced the new 2012-2013 theatre season to NCTC soirée guests, who also enjoyed a preview of Ken Ludwig's "Twentieth Century," directed by Paul Conroy.

NCTC makes a practice of offering "something for everybody," and the exciting 2012-2013 season is no exception. The line-up includes ten shows. The Main Stage productions will be "The Producers," "And Then There were None," "A Christmas Carol," Fiddler on the Roof," and "On the Razzle." Black Box shows are "Driving Miss Daisy," "November," "Mrs. Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge," "The Little Dog Laughed," and "Rabbit Hole."

In general, Main Stage shows are family friendly and include large casts, sometimes music and dancing, and, often, children. Black Box shows are intended for smaller audiences and occasionally introduce up-and-coming playwrights. A few Black Box plays (though by no means all) have edgy, controversial themes appropriate for mature teens and adults.

Watch www.newnantheatre.org for more details about the new shows and the opportunity to purchase 2012-2013 season tickets. And it's not too late to purchase season tickets for the 2011-2012 season.

Newnan Community Theatre Company is located in historic downtown Newnan at 24 First Avenue. For more information and reservations, visit their website at www.newnantheatre.org or call 770-683-6282.
