PARADE Comes To Taper Forum 9/24 Through 11/15, Starring T.R. Knight

By:

The Donmar Warehouse presents PARADE, with a book by Alfred Uhry and music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown. PARADE is co-conceived by Harold Prince and directed and choreographed by Rob Ashford.

A shameful event in American history and a poignant love story are at the heart of "Parade," which won both Tony Awards and Olivier nominations when it played in New York and London. "Parade" tells the true story of Jewish factory superintendent Leo Frank (played by T.R. Knight) in post-Civil War Atlanta. When a 13-year-old factory worker is murdered, Frank is immediately cast as a suspect. He and his wife, Lucille (played by Lara Pulver), bond more tightly as they face a media frenzy and public hatred when Frank - the transplanted Yankee - becomes the scapegoat. A solid cast also includes Brad Anderson, Michael Berresse, Will Collyer, Charlotte d'Amboise, Karole Foreman, Davis Gaines, Laura Griffith, P.J. Griffith, Curt Hansen, Deidrie Henry, Christian Hoff, Sarah Jayne Jensen, Lisa Livesay, Hayley Podschun, Rose Sezniak, David St. Louis, Phoebe Strole, Josh Tower and Robert Yacko.
