Orfeh, Patti Murin and More to Bring Adele to Life at THE POP SHOW, 6/10

Farah Alvin (Nine, Grease!, The Marvelous Wonderettes) , Anika Larsen (Avenue Q, Rent, Closer Than Ever, Xanadu), Patti Murin (Wicked, Lysistrata Jones), Samia Najimy Finnerty, N'Kenge (Motown: The Musical, Sondheim on Sondheim), Orfeh (Legally Blonde, The Gershwins' Fascinating Rhythm, Love, Janis, Saturday Night Fever), Jarrod Spector(Jersey Boys, Les Miserables) and American Idol Finalist Erika Van Pelt will comprise the lineup for the June 10 edition of The Pop Show, part of the Broadway at Birdland series at Birdland Jazz Club. The 7pm concert will feature the songs of Adele.

The announcement was made today by John Capo, the creator and producer of The Pop Show. The Broadway at Birdland series is presented by Jim Caruso.

Journey through the songbook of the reigning Queen of Pop, a singer-songwriter who aims straight for the heart. Featuring songs from both of Adele's multi-platinum-selling records, proceeds from the concert benefit VH1's Save the Music fund, dedicated to restoring music education in America's public schools. The concert features music direction by Brandon Sturiale, with additional performers to be announced.

Pop decadence done right: Each month we pick a different pop music theme. Irresistible performers collide with the pulsating Pop Show Band and Singers to bring you rare, unexpected, once-in-a-lifetime singer/song pairings, creating a unique and intense auditory experience.
