Oracle Sets Ben Fuchsen as Executive Producer; Max Truax as Artistic Director

By:

At the close of an unprecedented year for Oracle Productions, the Board of Directors and Company Members are excited to announce several changes to their management and staff. To better oversee the expansive programming and added artistic personnel, Ben Fuchsen is being promoted to the position of Executive Producer for the company. The Board of Directors is very excited to announce Max Truax as the new Artistic Director of Oracle Theatre. This will conclude Truax's term as Outreach Director for the company. These changes were effective beginning July 26, 2011.

The company is also excited to announce the placement of Company Member Stephanie Polt as Company Manager, in addition to Amy Hopkins as Company Production Manager and Sam Newport as Technical Director. These three staff positions are vital to the success of the organization and we welcome them!!

Additionally, Oracle welcomes its newest company member, Sarah Pretz, who is brimming with ideas for making art and making art free.

Oracle's 2010-2011 season has been the most successful year in the history of this Lakeview arts organization. After the launch of its new service initiative, Public Access Theatre, Oracle produced three critically acclaimed plays directed by Fuchsen and Truax, a popular late night series called TONIGHT IT'S LIVE WITH TOM BAMBARA, an off-night production of HAMLET directed by Benno Nelson, a short film called THE WOYZECK PROJECT, and a full tour of Oracle Outreach performances to senior living communities.

With the close of its final mainstage production RADIO GOGGLES on August 7, over 3,500 patrons will have participated in a live performance event for free in Public Access Theatre. Of those 3,500 patrons, nearly 20% go to fine arts events less than twice a year, and over 400 patrons are physically unable to travel to a theatre at all. This growth shows a positive future for Public Access Theatre, and these staff changes will ensure Oracle's artistic service continues to be of the highest caliber.

Ben Fuchsen, Executive Producer
