On Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 9 pm, for one night only, Canadian rising star Haley McGee, dubbed "the next darling of Canadian theatre" (See Magazine), brings her critically acclaimed show OH MY IRMA to Theatre ROW, 410 West 42nd Street, New York, as part of the United Solo Theatre Festival.

Directed by Siminovitch Prize Finalist, Chalmers and Dora Award winning director Alisa Palmer, OH MY IRMA sees McGee bring the memorable Mission Bird, a socially inept young woman with an insatiable appetite for connection, to the stage in her hilarious and mesmerizing "tour de force" play.

A comedy with razor teeth, Mission Bird finds herself in front of an audience, defending an unnamable crime which YES, she committed, but it wasn't her fault. The story takes macabre turns and Mission Bird's ardent defense crumbles as she comes closer to revealing to the audience what she's done - who she's killed.

Originating as a five-minute piece at an emerging artist cabaret at Toronto's legendary Theatre Passe Muraille, OH MY IRMA caught the attention of its Artistic Director, Andy McKim. McGee was then selected to develop the play at the prestigious Banff Playwrights' Colony and presented it to rave reviews and sold-out houses at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival, before its professional debut back at Theatre Passe Muraille. Both productions were received with critical acclaim and sold-out performances.
