According to The Hollywood Reporter, a documentary of the late journalist, writer and director Nora Ephron is currently in the works at HBO. Journalist Jacob Bernstein, son of the acclaimed playwright, is developing what is being described as "an intimate portrait of his mother."

Bernstein will co- direct and co-produce the project to be called EVERYTHING IS COPY. The title, a common phrase Ephron heard from her mother throughout childhood, refers to the idea that life is an open book and therefore potential material for a screenplay.

Ephron is best known for her hit films When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail. She passed away at age 71 from pneumonia last year, a complication from suffering from acute myeloid leukemia.

The writer began her professional career as a reporter at The New York Post in 1962. One of her final works, Lucky Guy, recently made its debut on Broadway and marks a return to her journalistic roots. The new play follows the scandal- and graffiti-ridden New York of the 1980s, as told through the story of the charismatic and controversial tabloid columnist Mike McAlary, played by Tom Hanks. The production marks the third collaboration between Hanks and Ephron, following the films Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail.
