Lone Star Theatre Co will be presenting a series of readings and concerts by Texas playwrights and composers as part of their second season in NYC.
The "Texas Reads" series which presents staged readings of new plays by Texas writers will include ELIJAH by Judith Leora, THE JOB SEARCH & OTHER PLAYS by Alan Charnock, MOONLIGHTING by Emily Comisar, and THE TEXAS CAPITOL PLAYS by Mando Alvarado, Lindsay Hicks, Raul Castillo, and Raquel Almazan.
The "Texas Music. New York Stages." series will feature BROADWAY SINGS THE MUSIC OF PAUL COZBY (Babes at Sea, Boy Girl Boy Girl), and TEXAS DIVAS: BROADWAY VOICES featuring the music of Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Janis Joplin, and more!
The season will conclude with a Cinco De Mayo tequila tasting concert celebration featuring Texas talent from the Broadway stage.
Artistic Director David Davila said "We're excited to continue what we started last season by helping to pave the way for Texas talent here in New York while giving New Yorkers memorable experiences they can share with friends."
