According to Variety, producers of the new musical THE MAN are plotting to run the show in Las Vegas this fall or spring 2014, followed by a national tour, with aims for Broadway. Casting and a solid timeline have not yet been revealed.

THE MAN is a backstage look at the life of a fictional music superstar from the point of view of his manager (a non-singing role). The score, most of which would be sung by the "superstar", will feature original melodies written by current "big-name artists".

Mark Lamica, former business partner of Michael Jackson's manager Frank Dileo, is one of the project's producers, as well as co-creator and book writer, alongside Larry Hart.

Lamica will also bring Dileo's former partner Quincy Krashna, and former president of Michael Jackson and Sony Music's record label Jerry Greenberg, onto the producing team. These key players in Michael Jackson's career last collaborated on "Sisterella", created by Hart.
