By:

Natascia Diaz will feature a musical performance at the 2009 Adventure Theatre Gala on October 30. The evening begins in Historic Glen Echo Park with a Pre-Gala reception at 7 pm in the Cuddle Up, followed by a Buffet Dinner in the Bumper Car Pavilion.

Wendy Rieger of NBC Washington News4 will emcee the event, with Bob Levey presiding over a unique Fund-A-Need auction. The company will also honor Catherine Leggett with its Spirit of Adventure Award at the gala.

Natascia Diaz won a Helen Hayes Award for her performance as Monica P. Miller in 'Rooms' at MetroStage. Other theatre credits include ‘Man of La Mancha', ‘Carnival', ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman', and ‘A Little Night Music.' She will next be seen playing the role of The Amazing Voice in 'Barrio Grrrl!' at the Kennedy Center Family Theatre.

Adventure Theatre, founded in 1951, is the longest-running theater program for children and families in the Washington metropolitan area. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the company's education and outreach programs in the Washington D.C. metro area.
