Three finalists – Auri Marcus, George Psomas and Isabel
Santiago – will compete for the title and their very own Ars Nova concert in
the final round of NYMF's "Broadway Idol" this Friday, October 5.
The three contestants earned their places in the final by
wowing the full house crowd at Stitch Bar & Lounge last Friday with their
best rock songs from Broadway shows.
Celebrity judges Anthony Rapp, Jose Llana and Mandy Gonzalez provided
commentary and feedback to the contestants, before the decision of who would move
on to the finals was turned over to the audience, via Verizon Wireless text
message voting.
The theme for this Friday's final round is "Star to
Be," where each contestant will sing one song from a Broadway show pre-Oklahoma
and one song from a Broadway show post-Hair.
Andrea McArdle will again host the evening, and the panel of celebrity
judges on hand to offer feedback to the contestants and audience will consist
of Manoel Felciano, Stephanie D'Abruzzo and Lonny Price.
The event begins at 10PM, and the competition is set to
start at 11PM.

"Broadway Idol" is part of the NYMF @ Nite party series and
