New York City Center just presented An Evening with Sara Bareilles last night, serving as special album release show for "What's Inside: Songs from WAITRESS." The album is now available, featuring songs from WAITRESS, the upcoming Broadway musical. Miss the concert? Fear not! You can catch it below!
WAITRESS is the first musical written by Bareilles, based on the 2007 film of the same name. The show opened this summer at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, MA and will head to Broadway in the spring. Bareilles first achieved mainstream critical praise in 2007 with her widely successful hit, "Love Song" which reached #1 in 22 countries around the world from her debut album LITTLE VOICE. Since then, the Eureka, CA native has gone on to sell over 1 million copies of her debut album, earn 3 Grammy nominations including Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Love Song."
WAITRESS will open on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). Previews will begin on Friday, March 25, 2016.
