Minnetonka Theatre Announces 2011-2012 Season
By: Gabrielle Sierra
Tickets are now on sale for Minnetonka Theatre's 2011-2012 season, including Dracula - The Musical, The Sound of Music, Nice People Dancing to Good Country Music, and Disney's Beauty & the Beast. Minnetonka Theatre is also marking its 10th year with Artistic Director Kent Knutson by offering season subscriptions for the first time ever and selling tickets through a new interactive online ticketing system.
The award-winning theatre is coming off of one of its most exciting years yet: After starring in Minnetonka Theatre's Minnesota premiere production of The Phantom of the Opera last spring, senior Ryan McCartan won the National High School Musical Theatre Awards and became a Presidential Scholar of the Arts. Jody Briskey and Tod Petersen were reunited on stage in Anything Goes, which made a splash as one of Minnetonka Theatre's most popular summer productions to date. Most recently the first ever Student Summer Stock presented a sold out run of Chicago in the Arts Center's new Studio Theatre.Minnetonka Theatre's 2011-2012 SeasonShows: Dracula - Fall Musical, Presented by Minnetonka High School (Nov. 4-19)
