Midtown International Theatre Festival Announces Short Subjects Selections

The Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival (MITF) announces selected plays for SHORT SUBJECTS, a division for plays that run no more than 60 minutes. Eighteen plays were selected. Tickets are $14 -17 and are available at www.midtownfestival.org or by phone at 866-811-4111. The Festival also offers various group discounts and package passes, good for full-length and short plays.

John Chatterton, the MITF's executive producer, is especially excited to present the Short Subjects this year. "Until now," he said, "the Short Subjects have been an afterthought intended to fill up empty space in the schedule. This year I accepted less than half the plays submitted, and we were able to schedule them in the regular venues rather than in a tiny theatre of their own, without taking a hit in the schedule. I realized you can fit two-and-a-half plays in an evening but not three, so the extra half is a bonus all 'round!"
