What started off as a small college musical at the University of Michigan made national headlines this week, when the cast album recording to Me and My Dick, featuring a book by Matt Lang, Nick Lang, Brian Holden and Eric Gale and a score by AJ Holmes, Carlos Valdes, and Darren Criss, made the Billboard charts as the number 15 best selling cast album this week.

Presented by the student-run Basement Arts organization, Me and My Dick is a new musical comedy about a boy and his best friend Dick (his dick). Together they face the trails of growing up; love, sex, and high school. When they each develop feelings for two separate girls they decide they can no longer live together. But how does a boy live with no dick? And where does a dick go with no boy? Find out in this heartwarming tale of friendship and love. Matt Lang, one of the show's book writers directed the production, which ran in October of 2009.

The production featured music direction and orchestrations A.J. Holmes and Carlos Valdes, choreography by Alle-Faye Monka, set designer by Corey Lubowich, and lighting design by Max Kaufman.

The production starred Joey Richter, Joe Walker, Jaime Lyn Beatty, Devin Lytle, Ali Gordon, Nick Joseph Wiener Pussy Strauss Matathia, Alle Faye Monka, Brian Holden, AJ Holmes, Corey Dorris, Arielle Goldman, Lily Marks and Richard Campbell.
