Dangerous

Drama - Adult Content & Nudity

By Michael McKeever

Dangerous is a complex love story set against the backdrop of the gathering Nazi storm, laced with lust, conspiracies and diabolical revenge.  First staged at Caldwell's innovative and popular 2008 Play Reading Series where it received audience rave reviews, Dangerous is "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" deconstructed.  Brought to you by the multiple award-winning playwright, Michael McKeever, whose farce, Suite Surrender, World Premiered at Caldwell last season to rhapsodic reviews ("One of the Best of 2008 Theater," Hap Erstein.)

The creative team for this production is:  Clive Cholerton (Director,) Tim Bennett (Scenic Designer,) Tom Salzman (Lighting Designer,) Alberto Arroyo (Costume Designer,) Sean Lawson (Assistant Technical Director,) and Robert Herrle (Stage Manager.)

The playwright, Michael McKeeVER, was born in Miami and is a three-time Carbonell Award-winner for Best New Work (Melt, Running with Scissors and The Garden of Hannah List) and winner of four Curtain-Up Awards.  Incorporating a wide variety of styles and subject matter, McKeever's plays explore every aspect of the human condition.  From deep-rooted prejudices of small town America to the delicate dysfunction of Connecticut's wealthiest homes, McKeever creates stories that entertain and enlighten.  He has been honored with an NEA ResidenCy Grant and has been a two-time finalist for Human Fest's nationally renowned Heideman Award.  He is also an award-winning actor and designer.  His awards stretch from 1996 to 2008 and his plays have been staged in Germany, Austria and throughout America, including Off Broadway. He is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild and Actors' Equity.
