Met Opera Presents New Year's Eve Fireworks
The Metropolitan Opera will be presenting a live fireworks display outdoors on to Lincoln Center's Josie Robertson Plaza. The display is part of the company's first New Year's Eve gala in five years.
The fireworks are designed by the Met's own technical department and will begin at 12AM midnight, following the final performance of Gounod's Roméo et Juliette and post-performance fete on the Grand Tier attended by 500 guests.
The Metropolitan Opera House, Lincoln Center (is located at West 65th St., between Amsterdam and Broadway). The fireworks presentation is tonight, Monday, December 31 at from 12-12:30AM: Live outdoor fireworks display on Lincoln Center Plaza and post-performance gala festivities on the Met Opera's Grand Tier.
