Futureleap Media is breaking all the rules. With their latest enterprise, Broadway Live, they are bringing a live Broadway concert performance from the theatre to an online audience. The Living Social sponsored event is being executive produced by Charles Salameno (Executive Producer of Cinderella, Pippin and Trip to Bountiful). Tony Award-winning Producer Nelle Nugent and Sharon Carr are consulting on the project. The show will announced in the near future.
The Broadway Live chat series introduces audiences to Broadway (musical theatre) celebrities and features a live musical performance. The first guest was Shoshana Bean, known for her turn in the hit musical Wicked, replacing Idina Menzel as Elphaba. Shoshana's co-star, Megan Hilty, who replaced Kristin Chenowith as Galinda, will appear in the second episode. In addition to the online series, the Broadway Live social media community is steadily growing. In just four weeks, the Broadway Live Facebook page has 16,000 fans with more joining every day.
