Theatre and TV star Maxwell Caulfield will be London's next Billy Flynn in Chicago, which is currently playing the Cambridge Theatre, according to London Theatre Guide.

He will succeed Michael Simkins as the oily lawyer on May 29th and perform in the long-running revival through June 30th.

Caulfield, who will be making his British stage debut in Chicago, has appeared on Broadway in An Inspector Calls and Once a Catholic, as well as Off-Broadway in Our Leading Lady, Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Tryst, My Night with Reg and Crimes and Dreams, among others.  The actor, who rose to fame in Grease 2, "Dynasty" and its spin-off "The Colbys," has also appeared on screen in such films as Dream City and The Man Who Knew Too Much.  He has been seen on UK TV in the medical drama "Casualty."

London's Chicago also stars Josefina Gabrielle as Roxie, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma, Matthew Lloyd Davies as Amos and Susie McKenna as Mama Morton.  With music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Bob Fosse and Ebb, the 1975 "musical vaudeville" tells the tale of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two chorines-turned-murderesses who attempt to outdo each other in publicity and show business.
