Multi-award-winning stage and screen star Mary-Louise Parker makes her anxiously anticipated return to the stage this season in THE SNOW GEESE this September and the accomplished actress opens up about her deep desire to return to the boards and why it has taken so long for her to do so in a new interview.

Parker reveals that the schedule required by an eight-show-a-week theatre gig has not been preferable for her over the last few years, especially given her role as a mom to two young children.

"That's why I haven't done a play in so long - because you sort of forfeit that time with them. But it felt like the time to do it and I was aching to do one. This one seemed right. The alchemy felt right," Parker states.

Additionally, Parker opines that her true first and only love is theatre - and always has been.

"If you've known me for five minutes, it's obvious I'm not ambitious. There's no brass ring for me everywhere. If there was, I got it when I got my Equity card. I wanted to do theater. I'm happy to stay where I am," Parker candidly confesses.

Well, then, let's hope for many more major onstage roles for the versatile former WEEDS lead in the future!
